WHAT’S THE PROCESS FOR
BUILDING A LOFT CONVERSION?
Making any structural change to your home can be challenging, and loft conversions are no different. The process can be costly, time consuming and there are plenty of regulatory hoops to jump through. At Luka Construction, we do everything we can do to make it as easy as possible to reach your end goal.

Before speaking to us, you will need to get an architect on board to confirm structural drawings and you’ll need to get planning permission from the relevant authorities.

Once these things are in place, one of our loft conversion specialists will conduct a site visit to provide you with an estimate of costs. If our estimate is satisfactory, we’ll proceed to tender and provide a fully-detailed, entirely transparent quote - detailing every part of our costs and where your money will be spent. Your loft conversion project will be fixed fee, and we take no money upfront.

If you accept our quote, we’ll get down to the nitty gritty of legal and health and safety. Insurances will be confirmed and contracts agreed and signed - and then work will begin on your loft conversion.

You’ll have a dedicated project manager throughout the loft conversion process who will keep you informed every step of the way and will be your point of contact if you have any questions or concerns. Final payment is only due 6 months after the project is completed and any snagging is rectified.
